Welcome back, Sweet Pea families!
The start of the school year is moving right along and we are all starting to settle into our routines at school.
We’d like to thank you all for remembering to say goodbye in the cubby room and for keeping your goodbyes short and sweet! These first few weeks can be a hard transition for everyone involved, but the trust they are building with us will carry them through the rest of a wonderful year. We can’t wait to see how they will learn and grow!
For the month of September, we are taking the time to focus on “All About Me”! We are learning about the body, as well as what we can see, hear, touch, taste, and smell. We are also paying special attention to washing our hands (for 20 seconds!) to get into the habit of keeping our bodies clean and healthy. We will also start to look at our changing seasons and explore with apples, the signs of Fall, and the color red!
With the changing weather in mind, we do want to send a quick reminder to bring warm clothing and footwear to school whenever possible. We will still try to get outside as often as we can, even if it is a quick trip to the barn to visit the goats and chickens. Raincoats and boots are appreciated!
We have loved seeing all the family picture collages and “Getting to Know You” forms coming in! Please keep them coming if you have not already done so. We love getting to know you and your family as we build this classroom community. In the upcoming weeks, you will be getting notified about our classroom phone app, Bloomz, that will help us communicate throughout the day by sharing pictures or projects, as well as keep you up to date on any upcoming events or reminders. This is a great way for all of us to stay connected!
