EMILY
Emily was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She later attended CSU Fresno where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education, specializing in Early Childhood Education. She moved to Bozeman in the summer of 2017 to be closer to family (her twin sister also lives in Bozeman!) and began working at Middle Creek that same summer.
Emily spent the next six years working in a variety of roles at Middle Creek, including the after-care program, yearly summer camps, and both assistant and lead teacher positions. However, she spent the majority of her tenure leading the toddler classroom in Sweet Pea.
In the summer of 2023, Emily said goodbye to Middle Creek, and Montana, in order to pursue her first love of Deaf Education. She moved across the country to Massachusetts and has now lived in both Boston and Salem, where she works as an Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf for the Salem Public School District and is waiting to start a secondary masters program at Boston University. These days she can be found walking her dog along the cobbled streets of Salem, or exploring the city and watching a sporting event in Boston.
Emily joined the Board of Trustees in early 2024, as a way to stay connected to the school community that became like family and to support Middle Creek as it continues to develop and grow into its fullest potential!
