Alex grew up in New England and earned a degree in Food Security and Policy from Hampshire College. He and his wife Christina moved to Montana in 2015, and he has spent the past decade working in community finance and impact investment, helping local businesses access capital and build durable operations. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Business Analytics at the University of Montana.

Alex's daughter is in the Aspen classroom, and he joined the board in 2025, taking on the Treasurer role in early 2026. Outside of school, his family loves to ski, float the Yellowstone, cook together, and help feed the MCM farm animals whenever Mr. Matt needs an extra hand. Alex is also an avid record collector.
