ASSISTANT TEACHER COTTONWOOD
Garrett Hartley has lived in Bozeman for five years and graduated from Montana State University in the spring of 2019 with an Environmental Studies degree and a History minor. Garrett enjoys asking questions about the natural world around us and finding ways in which we can be better stewards of its beauty and vital functions. He seeks to bridge the gap between science, society, and the environment in order to make this world a healthy place to live.
In his free time, Garrett surfs rivers and oceans, hikes, snowboards, plays music with friends, and constantly looks for new ways to keep learning and be creative. He is excited to teach water resources, conservation, and natural history with a systems thinking approach that connects the environment and society.
