Guidelines Our progam
is designed to be an integrated continuum from age 2 through Elementary school.
Two-year-olds may attend a minimum of 3 half or 2 full days. Three-year-olds
may attend a minimum of 3 half or full days. Four-year-old students may attend
a minimum of four half or full days. We strongly encourage 5-year-olds who are
enrolling for the Kindergarten year to attend 5 full days. Success in the
Montessori environment and curriculum is based on consistent attendance.
Children thrive on the routine of coming to school, practicing and repeating
lessons for mastery, and moving through the lessons with joy and consistent
opportunity. Our Elementary school is a full 5 day program filled with the core
academic subjects as well as enrichment classes. Children who complete our
Primary program after three years move to our Elementary or public school being
confident students with a love for learning.
When to
Enroll
Toddlers: Begin Early!
When is the best time to enroll your child? Plan ahead and visit our school
well in advance (at least six months, if possible) to discuss what will work
best for you. If your child is between 24 and 36 months, we highly
recommend that you consider beginning your child's school experience in our
toddler program, known as Pre-Primary, even if it is for a few half-days per
week! When it is time for them to enter our Primary program, they are already
acclimated to the school environment, children, teachers and learning program...
and their graduation is a gentle process. Primary, Kindergarten and Elementary Ideally all children begin school in September when our school year officially begins. However, children may enroll during the school year if we have an opening. Please call the school office to check on space availability and to plan a special visit. Children who do not attend Middle Creek Montessori are welcome to apply for
