Kaya Patten was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. As the oldest of three children in an incredibly loving and close knit family she still considers her siblings and parents her closest companions. Kaya's preschool was founded by Jean Piaget, a former head of the Swiss Montessori Society. This experience combined with a long list of amazing educators have helped her flourish as she works towards her B.S. in Conservation Ecology and a minor in Education. Kaya has always approached working with children with the utmost love and compassion and regards each child's dreams and ideas with as much excitement and respect as her own, making her an excellent fit for MCM.
